Pardon me while I cozy up in nostalgia for a minute. I felt compelled on this Thank You Thursday to give a hearty thanks to the parents who raised me, taught me manners, who led by Christian example, who never told me who they voted for even though I asked...every election day. They let me be myself as long as I wasn't hurting anyone's feelings in doing so. They worked tirelessly to provide for me, my brother and sister. They knew the meaning of hard work and instilled that in all of us. They were the champions of magically fixing scraped knees and little broken hearts. Their moral compass impacts not only how I live, but how my brother and sister live and raise their kids as well. Talented, life-loving, beautiful people inside and out and somehow I was assigned to them. Thanks Mom and Dad for being my mom and dad.

I believe in serendipity and I believe in things ordained by something that's infinitely bigger than me. Thank God for that.
