I read something this a.m. from James: "Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
Huh, well isn't that something? I have never really thought about the word perseverance, especially in the aforementioned context. I have only used it in sentences when conveying a message or thought about being faced with something, working through that something, conquering it and so on. I never stopped to think each glimpse of enthusiasm accompanying my sentences about perseverance was actually perseverance working on me.
Before realizing this I felt confident in my possession and execution of it, when in reality it was given to me to make me stronger, more patient, coaching me through baby steps while lengthening my faith strides. It works in tandem with the human demonstrating it; it gives others hope that they too can get through adversity; it proves will and strength while giving you a 1 second Snapchat (if you will) of someone's vulnerability. Perseverance works in us and through us and if we think for one minute that it goes unrecognized, it doesn't. It has immeasurable power in spreading like wildfire, creating this positive domino effect for those 'going through it', whatever it is.
Perseverance has a job, it works.....odd hours.....for me and you and for that I am so very thankful.

I believe in serendipity and I believe in things ordained by something that's infinitely bigger than me. Thank God for that.
