This "Thank You Thursday" is brought to you by everyone who has completed their acts of kindness and have been so sweet to let us know about it! We have been so fortunate to hear stories of those who have visited nursing homes and animal shelters, those who have written thank you notes and bought someone's coffee and those who've called a relative they haven't talked to in a while. We are constantly inspired and fueled by your genuine hearts and desire to make this little world a lot kinder.
This week we sold out at the Whole Foods Farmers Market for the third week in a row!!! Every week is so amazing but last week was especially cool, so if you don't mind, I'd like to share a story with you from that farmers market.....The sweetest lady came by our tent last week and said she was headed to dinner with a friend (a friend with celiacs). She explained the lack of gluten free dessert options kept her friend from enjoying desserts when she'd go out to a restaurant. After we talked for a bit the customer tried a sample of the chocolate kind cake and immediately bought one, the last one. I always love peeking underneath each little cake to see what the act of kindness is and this time, when I looked I couldn't help but laugh and say how perfect this kindness was for the occasion. The bottom of the kind cake read "Help your server clear the table." How perfect?!! The customer was headed to a restaurant, with a kind cake in tow for her friend she was meeting. The best part?....when the customer said "Now this kind cake was meant for me." And, yes, it sure was. These are the moments we are most thankful for.
"When life shows you how love should go, just write the world a thank you note."
- The Kind Cake
I believe in serendipity and I believe in things ordained by something that's infinitely bigger than me. Thank God for that.
Daddy and daughter checking out their act of kindness :)
